With other eyes – European and Chinese perspectives on corporate typography (G)

We only begin to question what we learn in Europe about corporate typography, when it is viewed from a perspective outside our traditional cultural realm. China, because of the distinctiveness of its lettering and its growing importance, is a good place for reflecting upon European corporate design. The presentation will focus on the visions of Latin letters as expressed by Chinese typography – and vice versa. What are the differences? Which opportunities are being missed? Is there hidden potential? The framework of this quest will be determined by corporate typography.
